Key Lines- Character Lines A line creased into the side of a car to give it visual interest. Character lines will directly create vehicle’s image. There sometimes upper and lower character line, or more. Let’s look at some photos. - Belt Lines Belt Line is the line under windows. - Door Parting Line Door Parting Line is an indispensable element of car and door mechanics. Simply it is a line dividing door and body, or front door and rear door. - Cross Section Lines It is an imaginary line to show where cutting plane divides the car body.
